In Isaiah 28:13, God said, “these people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far away from me.” Had me thinking, “how close is my heart to God, am I just a christian in public and am I walking in alignment to the word?”

I have seen many Christians publicaly display christian-like behaviour but are lacking spiritual strength and maturity. And I’ve also seen many Christians display power, heal the sick, speak in tongues, all evidence of the Holy Spirit and of spiritual maturity but won’t spit on you if you are on fire.

If I’m not mistaken, to be a christian is to be Christ like, imitators of Jesus. Do you know how hard it is to imitate someone who did not sin? It is painful, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. And that is why it is called suffering. To suffer with him…

Finding Purpose

More Than Our Story...

A few nights ago over dinner, one of my cousins asked me if I felt fulfilled at my current job. She asked me if this is what I was “called to do”. It was a very timely question because within the past few weeks I have realized that as much as I truly enjoy what I do for a living, it may not necessarily be what I was created to do. I love my job. It’s fun, exciting, and challenging. But do I think it is my calling? Not necessarily.
